Projects

Eligible Beneficiaries

  1. Individual persons;
  2. Community Groups including Community-based Organizations (CBOs), Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Faith-based Organizations (FBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs);
  3. Training Institutions;
  4. Research Institutions; and
  5. Government Institutions including government ministries, departments, companies, agencies, authorities, training and research institutions, primary and secondary schools, and local government authorities.

1.    Small Grants (Amounts not exceeding TZS 5 million) for individuals;
2.    Small Grants (Amounts not exceeding TZS 10 million) for all beneficiaries except individuals;
3.    Medium Grants (Amounts above TZS 10 million but not exceeding TZS 20 million) for all beneficiaries;
4.    Large Grants (Amounts above TZS 20 million but not exceeding  TZS 50 million) for all beneficiaries; and
5.    Special Purpose Grants (Amount exceeding TZS 50 million) for government institutions.

1. Forest resources development, protection, conservation and management;
2. Livelihood improvement for communities living adjacent to Forest resource base;
3. Research on forestry geared at:

      a.  Improving forest protection, conservation and management; and
      b.  Improving quantity, quality and value addition for sustainable use of forest produce;

4. Capacity building on training and research institutions; and
5. Any other areas on conservation of forests as per Board discretion.
